But I wouldn't recommend fucking off into the woods and pushing everyone away. That's actually worse than the little pains of living with people.

From what I can tell, you seem much the same. Though, I suppose you were a little quieter the longer you were in Folkmore, but I think the same could be said about a few people.

As for your friend, don't worry. I've had ruder things said to me. I'd be dead if I let every slight hurt.
As for Trinket, he's my bear. And if I decide to take more students for archery lessons, I'll let you meet him. Though, he's hard to miss right now, since I believe he's the only grizzly bear in Somnius.

I found Trinket as a cub and have raised him since. He comes everywhere with me.

Date: 2024-02-21 10:39 pm (UTC)As for which world was easier, I suppose it's both easier and harder than Folkmore and Exandria —the world I am from. They all have their own idiosyncrasies that make them pains in the ass.
Trinket has always been well behaved. I won't have slander about him going around. Besides, Princess Jasmine has a tiger. I'd think he'd be harder to deal with than a bear.

It might be different in my world, but I think a bear and a tiger could be equally as dangerous... and raising any wild animal on your own would be something considered really risky because they could hurt someone very easily even if it was by accident because they're usually a lot more stronger than most people... In my world, raising a bear or a tiger is something I think very few people would advise doing. It's a relief knowing the animal friends people have here are much more nicer! Even if I still think it's important for someone they don't know to treat them with respect... but that goes for everyone!

Worlds are like people in that case. A thought I'd never had until now. Thank you for that.
As far as raising animal companions on my world.. I believe there's a bit of magic involved. I never really tried to out and out learn magic, but there are bits of nature magic that one picks up as you learn how to do certain things. So, while other bears are dangerous and predators, Trinket has also been exposed to people his whole life with the benefit of said magic. So, he attacks people when I tell him.
Other creatures from other worlds, I can't say the same thing about them. You'd have to ask Jasmine about Rajah's training.
However, if I find anyone trying to abuse Trinket, I will let him eat them.

Oh that's really interesting! I bet there's probably so many different things you can do with magic it's impossible to name them all...
Oh gosh, I hope that never happens! Trinket sounds really wonderful! It'd be awful if someone ever hurt him...
