However, she's recognized that they're growing apart as their world opens to let others in and that she has to take a backseat and become the third most important woman in his world. She will still lay down her life to keep him safe and she knows he feels the same, but they have others that they love too.

Even though Vex didn't trust easily when she and Vax first met Keyleth, the druid's love of Trinket actually won her over. While they disagree on a lot of things, there are two people that the women love fiercely: Vax and Percy. Keyleth's kind and sweet nature is hard to resist and Vex appreciates that she has had a good childhood surrounded by love with the Air Ashari. It reminds her that not everyone has crappy parents and that even those who seem too kind can be pushed to do brutal things. Besides, Kiki is pretty badass in battle and she's glad she's on Vex's side.
